Moline High School students are gearing up to help kids in need, this holiday season.
The "Share Joys" program kicks off Monday. It's when students raise money to buy clothing for QC kids. They've already raised $16,000 through their donut eating competition they had on Thursday.
The program has helped get students to think about others.
"It helps the kids make the switch from worrying about what they are getting for Christmas, to what other people need," said Allison Ryser of Moline High School. "And they see the need in the community and they get to know that other people have a lot stronger needs than they do."
Last year, the share joys program raised $40,000, enough to help clothe more than 250 QC children.
