Armed and dangerous.

That's how police are describing a suspected Muscatine bank robber.

It happened around 11:30 a.m., at the US Bank in Muscatine.

The bank's surveillance cameras were able to capture this picture of the suspect. He's described as a 35 year old black man. He's about 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, scarf, jeans and a baseball cap.

Police say he walked into the US Bank on Park Avenue, flashed a black hand gun and demanded money. He got away with an unknown amount of cash. Police say he is armed and dangerous.

If you know who or where this person is call police.

"I encourage the public to not confront the individual if they know who it is. Call 9–11. Let us do our jobs, so that way they are safe and we can do it the safe way," says Lt. Jeff Jirak, Muscatine Police Department.

The US Bank refused to comment on the situation, but say they will reopen tomorrow.
