School drive for storm victims

Davenport Community Schools will continue their relief drive today for Super Storm Sandy victims.

The idea for the drive came after Wilson Elementary School sent a bus full of supplies to the east coast earlier this month.

Area business got on board to help the entire district get to work. A trailer will be around at various schools all day.

The event started yesterday and continues from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Donations needed include:

- Supplies for reconstruction including plumbing and electrical supplies

- Blankets

- Flashlights and batteries

- Gallon Ziploc bags

- Cleaning supplies

- Baby/toddler food and formula

- Duct Tape and scotch tape

- Toiletries

- Can Openers

- Children's toys

- Fluorescent pink spray paint 

You can donate at any of the following schools:

- 8:00 a.m. - 9:20 a.m. Harrison Elementary

- 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Sudlow Intermediate and Washington Elementary

- 11:00 a.m. - Noon Adams Elementary and Williams Intermediate

- 12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. JB Young

- 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Garfield Elementary

- 3:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. Eisenhower Elementary
