A Savanna Police officer who shot a woman has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Carroll County State's Attorney.
On October 24th, Officer Jacob Stillings had pulled over a SUV and was arresting the male driver when Allana Hill, the passenger, got behind the wheel and ran over the man.
Officer Stillings shot Hill, who later crashed the vehicle into a Carroll County home. A baby was in the back seat at the time.
The Carroll County State's Attorney determined that Officer Stillings was justified in using deadly force because of the danger to himself and the driver.
Hill is charged with a number of counts, including Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer, and Aggravated Battery using a Deadly Weapon.
