Students at Black Hawk College are making a big promise when it comes to their future.

The Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society had students sign a pledge today to finish their degree before transferring or entering the job market.

Organizers say getting a degree is the surest way to have a successful career. But they say some students get off track.

"It's really important to finish that degree," says Kylee Fox, Vice President of Service for Phi Theta Kappa "Something personal comes up, there can be many reasons why you can't finish. And then you just have college credits instead of an actual hard Associate Degree."
