Shooting overnight in Rock Island

A QC man is in the hospital today after getting shot several times.

Police say just before 11:00 PM Sunday night, the victim was approached by a group of men in an alley near 9th Street and 18th Avenue in Rock Island.

They say the victim was shot several times while trying to get away, but his injuries aren't life threatening.

Police do not have a suspect in custody and an investigation is underway, according to Sgt. Shawn Slavish.
