Two local high schools are squared off on the court, for a good cause.
"We thought it was a perfect way for them to get a chance to give back by helping raise funds for their scholarship fund," said Mark Bigler, West High School Boys Basketball Coach.
The Iowa Pride Challenge tipped off Friday Night at Davenport West, pitting Dewitt against West. Those who watched the game, also helped raise money for the Reece Morgan Summer Hoops Program. It helps local at risk kids go down the right path.
"To continue his work in our community is important, so we're building character, and we're building some good citizens," said Eugene Chism, President of the Reece Morgan Summer Hoops Program.
Organizers say they hope to raise $2,500.
