Homeless Quad Citians got a taste of Thanksgiving today as well.
Christian Care served a special holiday meal. Dozens of folks enjoyed turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans and pie.
Some of the volunteers serving the feast, used to get help from Christian Care themselves and say this is their chance to pay it forward.
"I used to be a resident here and they helped me out tremendously and I have a skill of cooking, so I think this is my way of giving back," says Kenny Anderson, Food Services Coordinator.
Those who turned to Christian Care for their meal say they're thankful the non profit is there to help those in need
