Davenport Police Out In Full Force This Holiday Weekend

Follow the rules or pay the price. That's the message from Davenport Police this holiday weekend.

Starting Wednesday Night officers will be out in full force cracking down on drunk drivers and underage drinkers. Police say they want everyone to have a safe holiday.

"It seems like the younger generation is just getting home from college," says Maj. Dan Schaeffer, Davenport Assistant Chief of Police. "It's their chance to go out greet their friends that they haven't seen for several semesters or years or that."

Officers say as your planning your night out, make sure it includes a designated driver.
