A Davenport man is charged with the beating of his three week old baby boy.
Peter Ranke, 29, was arrested and charged with Child Endangerment/Multiple Acts, a felony.
Police were called to the emergency room at Genesis East on November 5th after the child was brought in with multiple injuries. The baby was suffering from a broken collarbone, possible broken ribs, bruises, and bleeding on the brain.
Ranke is out on bond. The Iowa Department of Human Services is also investigating.
"Our job is to present evidence in court and if he is convicted he will be doing a substantial amount of time in prison," said Mike Walton, Scott County Attorney.
Ranke goes to court December 2oth.
If convicted he could face up to 50 years in prison.
