A holiday from construction headaches

Illinois DOT Is working to make getting to and from your Thanksgiving celebrations, a little easier.

IDOT is suspending non-emergency road work for the holiday weekend. It will start at 3 p.m. on Wednesday and go through Midnight on Sunday.

The Department of Transportation said it will help thousands of drivers get to where they need to go faster and safer.
