Video gambling in Illinois is off to a winning start.
The state made more than $346,000 in its first month.
The state gaming board says gamblers placed nearly $18 million in wagers at the 714 machines currently installed across the state. Local governments where the gambling is offered took in about $70,000.
Lawmakers say they hope to have 75,000 machines installed by the end of next year.
