Christmas came early for some Quad City kids today.
The East Moline-Silvis Rotary Club donated nearly 900 books and 6 book cases to the Project Now Head Start Facility.
Committee members say reading is critical to a child's education. For many of the Head Start kids, this will be their very first book.
Half of the books will stay in Head Start classrooms and the other half will be for home visits from Project Now.
