Film Puts Spotlight on Struggles of QCA Kids

There are children going without, right here in the Quad Cities.

PBS Frontline spent months following three local girls as they tried to deal with their families financial struggles.

Airing Tuesday at 9:00 PM on WQPT, "Poor Kids" features the River Bend Food Bank, Eagle Ridge School in Silvis, and the Davenport Salvation Army.

"People like to bounce statistics around," said Jezza Neumann, the director of Poor Kids. "They're discussed all the time, politicians argue over them, but for one minute, take a step back and remember, these are kids at the end of the day."
