QC Hunger Summit

High schoolers from all over the QCA came together Monday to learn about hunger.

The QC Youth Hunger Summit was organized by North Scott Senior, Gretchen Mohr. She says it's important for everyone to realize hunger happens everywhere, including right here in the Quad Cities.

"There really is a true problem in this community of hunger like I said when you think of hunger you don't think of the student sitting in the desk next to you or your next door neighbor, but statistics don't lie."

 During the summit held at Saint Ambrose, students put together food packages for families in need.
