A group in Milan is working to stop dog fighting and animal abuse.
AAVENGE, or Animal Abuse and Violence Ends Now, through Greater Enforcement, hosted a Pancakes for Pitties breakfast today to raise money for dogs affected by abuse and neglect.
More than one hundred people came out to the Milan American Legion to support the cause.
The founder of the program says most people don't realize dog fighting in the QC is a huge problem.
"Our message, especially to young people is that dog fighting and any sort of animal violence or abuse is not okay," says Cindy VanLandegen, AAVENGE, founder.
AAVENGE has donated more than ten thousand dollars to abused dogs.
