Fatal car crash in Henderson County

A 71-year-old woman is dead after her Kia left the highway on Friday night.

It happened on Henderson County Rd 1050N. Illinois State Police got the call around 7 p.m.

When they arrived on scene Winona C. Anderson was found dead in her vehicle.

Police say the vehicle hit a guardrail, went airborne, and then rolled four times before coming to a stop.

Anderson was not wearing her seatbelt.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
