Meeker ordered to stand trial

The Illinois mom, accused of leaving her newborn baby in a ditch is fit to stand trial.

The ruling was made in court Friday. Meeker is accused of leaving her 3 week old baby, Mia, in a Stark County ditch back in September. The infant was found by volunteers hours after she was reported missing. Meeker told police someone stole the child while she was in the post office.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 30th.
