Nearly 100 new jobs are coming to the Rock Island Arsenal.

The U.S. Army announced Friday it is closing its National Capital Region Contracting Center in Virginia next year.

87 of the 250 positions are being relocated to the Rock Island Arsenal. The current Virginia employees will be offered their jobs here.

No word yet on if they will take them, they have until January to decide. The Army predicts the move will save about $13 million annually.
