Quad Citians at the Hostess store in Moline tell me it's going to be rough finding a replacement for the wonderful, Wonder Bread now that it's going out of business.

"Going by that bread just smelling it gives you a warm feeling and the thought that they actually manufacture something so huge around the country and in our community it's disappointing to see it go," says Gloria Berthoud, an East Moline Resident.

When folks heard that the company was going under, they rushed over to the Hostess Wonder bread store in Moline to get the last of their timeless treats.

"There's 4 Twinkies in there, I'm not a Twinkie eater, so I'm going to save it for someone else," says Berthoud.

"They are just great in flavor and the pies are really good and the bread...it's really not good for the diet, but oh well!" says Denise Borisek, a Bettendorf Resident.

But it's not just the beloved Twinkie or staple Wonder Bread that people are going to miss.

Folks say they've been going to the bakery on 4th Avenue for years and they just don't want to see it go.

"We come down here constantly, it's convenient, the prices are a lot cheaper to come down here, we'll miss it," says Past Higham of East Moline.

Other companies are looking into buying the brand, but for now, no more Twinkies.
