The Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission has appealed a ruling that would have let former Rock Island County State's Attorney Jeff Terronez keep his law license. The ARDC says that Terronez's behavior was enough to warrant being stripped of his license.
Terronez lost his position as State's Attorney after admitting to giving underage girls alcohol. The Illinois State Supreme Court had given Terronez a two year suspension, but the ARDC says that wasn't enough.
The appeal now goes back to the hearing board for review.
