A twenty-four year old man could spend the next ten years in prison for his role in causing the death of a Bettendorf motorcyclist. The crash happened over the Memorial Day weekend.
Adam Sotomayer was sentenced Thursday afternoon in a Scott County courtroom. He had pled guilty to killing 41 year old Vanzie Jackson.
Sotomayer was drunk when his pickup truck crossed the center line and hit Jackson's motorcycle near the intersection of 53rd and Elmore in Davenport.
Vanzie Jackson was a popular employee at Wieblers Harley-Davidson.
