U.S. Senator Dick Durbin today welcomed the new Democratic members of the Illinois Congressional Delegation to his Washington, DC office.  The members attending today's breakfast meeting include: Congresswoman-elect Cheri Bustos, Congresswoman-elect Tammy Duckworth, Congressman-elect William Enyart, Congressman-elect Bill Foster and Congressman-elect Brad Schneider.  Durbin will be meeting with Congressman-elect Rodney Davis later today.

"I am very excited to welcome a diverse group of newly-elected Illinois members of Congress to Washington today," said Durbin. "I am confident that each will bring new insight into their districts and a willingness to work across the aisle to create jobs and continue to grow our economy. I look forward to working with each member on important Illinois issues – from protecting Lake Michigan and increasing funding for our national labs to improving veterans services and expanding Amtrak service."

Newly elected members of the Senate and House of Representatives are in Washington, DC this week for their first official Congressional orientation meetings. They are scheduled to be sworn in as members of the 113th Congress on January 3, 2012.
