Golden Corral gives our Veterans a free meal

Area Vets were recognized at a QC restaurant for Veterans Day. Golden Corrals all across the country, and right here in the Quad Cities, honored Veterans on Monday with a free dinner. Since the tradition started 12 years ago, Golden Corral has served more than 3 million meals to veterans and raised more than 6 million dollars for disabled american veterans.

Local Vet, Marvin Kundert says it's nice to feel appreciated, "Golden Corral, they appreciate it. Shows somebody cares about us, sometimes you feel, veteran, you know, forget it."

Last year, alone the buffet raised more than a million dollars.
