The 21st Honor Flight of the Quad Cities will take off for Washington D.C. Thursday morning.
For many of these 89 veterans, this is the first time these World War II and Korean War veterans will be able to see their own war memorial.
Since 2008, the QC Honor Flight has helped show nearly 2,000 veterans Washington D.C.
Today's flight carries special meaning for two veterans: both of which are terminally ill.
Anyone can greet our veterans on their return at about 10:15 p.m. at the airport.
