Quad City Mayors' Hunger Luncheon helps area homeless

It's a simple meal, so others can simply eat.

The 20th annual Quad City Mayors' Hunger Luncheon was today in Davenport. Guests were served bread and soup as a reminder of what those less fortunate deal with. The money raised goes towards "In From The Cold", a group that helps the area homeless.

The mayors say they're happy to help a great cause.

"It's always nice to give your time for something like this," said Mayor Bob Gallagher of Bettendorf. "Especially for those who really are struggling, so this is truly a gift."
