Jury reaches a verdict in Sheley murder trial

A Whiteside County jury has found Nicholas Sheley guilty of the murder of 93 year old Russell Reed.  Sheley was found guilty of First Degree Murder, Home Invasion, and Residential Burglary.

The jury deliberated for almost two hours after hearing closing arguments Tuesday morning.
