Two area roads have been closed.
A portion of River Drive in Davenport is closed, yet again. For the next three weeks, the westbound lane from Mound Street to Oneida Avenue will be closed as crews install five large underground pipes for storm water, sanitary sewer and water systems. Traffic is detoured up to 12th Street and around the construction zone.
And Moline drivers are in for a construction headache as well. Starting today, crews will be replacing the pavement along 34th Street north of the B.N.S.F. railroad track crossing. To access businesses and Western Illinois University, you'll have to take River Drive. The work is expected to wrap up by Friday.
