On Saturday, November 3rd, at 9:45 p.m. the Henderson County Sheriff's Office received a call of residential burglary in Carman. 2 men reportedly entered the residence with a baseball bat and physically assaulted the female resident, and then they fled on foot.
Deputies located a male juvenile, who was later arrested for Home Invasion and Residential Burglary, and he was placed in the Mary Davis Juvenile Detention Center. Arrest warrants were then issued for Brandtyn P. Lewis (age 18) and David A. Chomycia (age 19) of Burlington, IA. The Burlington Police Department arrested both men before 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
Both defendants are being held in the Des Monies County Jail in lieu of $100,000 band and are awaiting extradition back to Illinois. The juvenile is awaiting a court appearance.
