Despite their political differences, when you walk into the campaign offices of Democrat Cheri Bustos or Republican Bobby Schilling you'll be surprised at the similarities.
For one, in both spots, phones are off the hook.
"I've done this in the past, and sometimes it's tough making calls and getting negative responses, but it's been very positive," said Diana Robinson, a volunteer for the Bustos campaign.
Knocking on doors and making phone calls are how volunteers at both offices are gearing up folks to vote.
"This is the point in the campaign when it all comes down to turnout," said Allison Jaslow, the Bustos campaign manager.
"It's just all about getting our supporters to the polls," said Terry Schilling, the Schilling campaign manager.
Volunteers also help out by counting the data that comes in from those knocking on doors and making calls.
"Very busy, but it's a lot of fun," said Sam Anderson, a Schilling campaign volunteer.
The bottom line is making a connection with the voters.
"During every waking hour that we can actually contact the voter, everyone is engaged in voter contact," said Jaslow.
And while the next few hours will mean very little sleep for both sides, there will never be a shortage of food.
"Here, we have lots of people, and lots of pizza," said Schilling.
Both the Bustos and Schilling campaigns will be wrapping up in downtown Rock Island as the votes come in Tuesday night.
