Fewer students are going to Iowa's community colleges. But state officials say that's actually good news.

Enrollment dropped 5% from last fall. State community college trustees say that's because the economy is improving, Meaning more people have jobs and fewer are going to school to hone their skills.

100,500 students go to a community school in Iowa.
