Before heading to Muscatine, Vice President Biden stopped for breakfast at Ross's restaurant in Bettendorf and cbs4 was inside to capture the moment.
The general manager says she was shocked after finding out the vice president would be stopping in for a bite to eat.
And he's not their first high profile customer: President Obama ate at the diner during his last visit and the manager says she feels honored and blessed to have now hosted both of them.
"They knew the place and were looking for a good breakfast on their way to Muscatine. We serve local eggs, local sausage, so we're very honored to have represented the Iowa farmers and serve them breakfast they really enjoyed," says Melissa Freidhof-Rodgers, General Manager, Ross's.
For those curious, the Vice President had bacon and eggs for breakfast.
