Going "Over the Edge" for a Cause

Quad Citians are going over the edge for a good cause. Wednesday, some brave souls repelled down Hotel Blackhawk in Davenport as part of the Special Olympics' Over the Edge Fundraiser.

Those who dared to descend nearly 140 feet, raised at least $750 dollars for the organization. Jay Kidwell's wife Kim took on the challenge and says it was all worth it, "Special Olympics Iowa does a lot of good things, kids with special needs visit the museum all the time and we are better for it...anything I could do to help the cause."

Organizers say they hope to make this an annual event.
