(AP) The Iowa State Patrol says at least one officer has been shot during a chase following a bank robbery in Maynard in northeast Iowa.
Sgt. Scott Bright says a trooper was shot in the upper right arm on Tuesday. The injury is not considered life-threatening.
The Maynard Saving Bank was robbed around noon on Tuesday. The suspects fled in a car.
Bright says the trooper was shot following a chase that ended in the Fredericksburg area. He says the suspects jumped out of the car. Authorities are searching the area, and a SWAT team has been called in.
FBI spokeswoman Sandy Breault says agents were on the scene and more were on the way.
