Woman charged in deadly hit-and-run

A Galesburg woman is facing multiple charges after a deadly hit and run accident. 33-year-old Lakeesha Smith was arrested early Sunday morning. Police are holding her responsible for hitting and killing Knox College student, Tundun Lawani while she was crossing the street just after 3 a.m. Smith is charged with not reporting the accident, or slowing down, driving without insurance, and DUI.
