Sandy still is a category one hurricane as of Sunday night with winds of 75 mph.  Sandy, which many are now calling the superstorm, will directly impact 50 million people.  Meteorologists are thinking New York could get the worst of the storm.

More than 5,000 flights have been canceled while Amtrak is stopping train service in the Northeast.  Many of the major cities have canceled school for Monday and non-essential government employees in Washington D.C. have been told to stay home from work on Monday.

Much of the Eastern U.S. is under some type of weather advisory because of the storm.  There are weather advisories for everything from Hurricane Warnings, to Flooding, High Winds, and Blizzard Warnings have been issued for the mountains of West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland.   Even Chicago is under a High Wind Watch.

The storm is expected to make landfall over New Jersey and Delaware sometime late Monday night into early Tuesday morning.
