The jury is set for the second murder trial of Nicholas Sheley.
Three alternates were picked Friday. They will take over if one of the 12 jurors is not able to do their job. Sheley is on trial for killing Russell Reed of Sterling.
Last fall he was convicted of murdering a Galesburg man.
He's accused of killing eight people in all in Illinois, and Missouri, in 2008.
Opening statements are scheduled to start Monday at 9:00 AM.
