A quiet Davenport neighborhood is turned upside down this Thursday afternoon. Police say it all happened around 4pm in the 5000 block of North Dittmer Street. They say some residents who lived at the nearby mobile home park were upset about the way people were driving. So, a man went out to try to stop one of the cars and got hit. That's when police say one of the drivers got out and fired a shot.
"Well, it was startling cause this is the first time I've heard a gunshot in 20 years I've lived here. So it's definitely a first," said Nathan Hubbard, who heard the gunshot.
No one was injured. Officers say charges are pending.
