A Rock Island Bakery reopened its doors this morning.
The South Park Bakery on Twentieth Street had been closed since last spring when the owner was diagnosed with cancer.
Since then the owner, Leo, has recovered, but says his hands aren't as strong as they used to be.
So the family is easing back into business with just three days a week open, Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Customers say they are happy the bakery is back in business.
"Just I'm glad to see they're open. I like this place here, I like the donuts," says Jake Halo, a QC resident.
The shop is open from five am to one pm.
They make bread, donuts, cinnamon buns, and fresh fudge.
