Police say the driver of a semi that led deputies on a chase down I-80 is the same man who robbed the Family Credit Union in Davenport on Monday. Elbert Karr Jr. was arrested after a Cedar County Sheriff's Deputy ended the pursuit by crashing his squad car into the truck.
Officers found cash inside the semi that was traced back to the credit union. Police say that credit union employees were able to identify Karr as the robber.
Karr is in the Cedar County Jail charged with 2nd Degree Robbery as well as a number of other charges by the Iowa State Patrol and Cedar County stemming from the chase.
