Galesburg man found guilty for beating a woman

After a day of deliberation, a jury has found a Galesburg man guilty of beating up a woman.

Sterling Nicholson was convicted on Tuesday of aggravated battery and aggravated domestic battery.

But, it could've been much worse.

He was found not guilty of attempted murder.

Back in January, the 47 year old left a woman in Galesburg with multiple injuries including a fractured skull.

Nicholson will be sentenced in January.
