Check scam to watch for

Watch out or you could get ripped off. That's the word from Morrison Police. Officers say a check scam is going around.

Residents are getting a prize claim from Mellon Securities Group with a UK address, and a check from UPM Pharmaceuticals.

The instructions say to cash the check, and give some of the money to a specific individual for taxes. Officers say if you get this in the mail, don't cash the supposed check and give them a call right away.
