The rain we've had over the past few days has been good news for area farmers.
"It's going to help next year's crop," says Dennis Van Daele, a local farmer. "We need this reserve. It's depleted. I don't know how this crop done it, we need this."
Farmers say the late rain is helpful because even snow fall can't help re–saturate the ground.
But they say in order to finish the fall harvest, they do need a few more dry days to get the crops out of the ground, and time is of the essence.
