It's national school bus safety week, and there are plenty of things you can do to make sure kids stay safe.
First, stop when the stop arm comes out on the school bus.
If you don't, bus drivers will report you to police.
Also, flashing yellow lights mean get ready to stop, because the bus is slowing down.
And never pass a bus on the right side, it's illegal and extremely dangerous.
"Communicating to everybody around that yellow bus that hey, there are kids in the area. Your kids may be in that area, my kids, and it's one of those things where, with safety being our top priority, we don't want to put any of those kids at risk," said Curtis Wheeler, of Johannes Bus Service Incorporated.
Experts said distracted driving, like texting, is even more dangerous when you're around a group of kids.
