Man Arrested in Burlington Shooting

Police in Burlington are investigating a shooting from Sunday.

Police responded to a call of shots fired in the 1000 block of 10th street around 3:00 Sunday afternoon. When they got there, they found two people, a man and a woman had been shot. They were taken to a local hospital. The woman was released, but the man was flown to Iowa City.

A short time later, 37-year-old Jermaine Carr was arrested in connection with the shooting. He is being held in the Des Moines County Jail.

No word on the condition of the victims.
