'Dogtoberfest' in LeClaire

What better way to enjoy a fall Sunday afternoon than with a cold one and your dog right beside you?

Sunday was the fourth annual ‘Dogtoberfest' at the Bier Stube in LeClaire.

Folks showed off their four legged friends during a trick contest.

There were free doggie bags, a raffle and auction items.

Everyone, including the dogs, seemed to be enjoying themselves.

"Basically what we have are dogs who usually go to our dog park, so this is their day to hang out and do something else besides running at the dog park," said Kathy Behncke, an organizer for the event.

All the money raised from Sunday's event will benefit the Crow Creek dog park in Bettendorf.
