An Iowa Senator who lost her battle with breast cancer will be honored by the state Friday. Governor Branstad has ordered all flags be flown half-staff from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in honor of state Senator Pat Ward. Ward passed away Monday after a long battle with cancer. She leaves behind her husband and four children. A memorial service will also be held Friday in Des Moines.
