One area non profit is now better equipped to help folks in the Quad Cities.
The Arc of the Quad Cities held a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for its newest group home today. The agency helps people with intellectual and other disabilities maintain their independence.
The new LaSalle house will be home to 8 adults. It's handicapped accessible and in a great location.
"It's wonderful in terms of proximity to community services," says Kyle Rick, Executive Director for Arc of the Quad Cities. "It couldn't be a better location for our folks who are a part of this community."
The home was named in honor of Manita LaSalle, a lifelong Moline resident and Arc benefactor.
