The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) Director, Jay Rowell, will meet with Rock Island business leaders on Tuesday, Oct. 16th, at 11 a.m. The meeting will be at the Rock Island County Building and its goal will be to help recruit and hire more workers with the Illinoisjoblink.com web site.
The IDES is promoting the no-cost, on-line career resource, that allows applicants to make multiple resumes for specific job applications. Also business owners can do specific searches for applicants using keyword matching and a search option for specific skills.
The web site has been put into place to save businesses and applicants money and time during the application and review processes. At this point there are 6,000 jobs on illinoisjoblink.com in the Rock Island Area.
