Power Outage in Davenport

About a thousand folks in Davenport were in the dark this morning.

The power outage caused problems with a traffic light at the intersection of Harrison and Locust Street, and forced nearby businesses to close.

An animal got caught in a transformer, causing it to blow.

Power has since been restored to all but about 40 customers.
